Quand j’étais jeune je rêvais d’être chef d’orchestre.
Pour atteindre mon but j’ai étudié la musique pendant toute ma jeunesse. La formation était difficile mais j’ai ainsi appris la discipline, la finesse d’exécution, la collaboration musicale et surtout qu’on s’améliore en pratiquant. Mais, ne trouvant pas la créativité et la liberté assis à la dernière rangée d’un orchestre comme tromboniste, je me suis tourné vers une passion de longue date : la photographie.
Comme assistant auprès de photographes publicitaires établis, j’ai appris les rudiments du métier. Ils sont devenus mes mentors artistiques et en affaire. Quelques années plus tard j’étais devenu un photographe publicitaire très en demande, mes photos étant publiées partout dans le monde pour des campagnes de publicité. Mais la musique me manquait et mon rêve de jeunesse était toujours présent. En 2002 j’ai découvert la réalisation, un art amalgamant toutes mes connaissances et talents : créativité, leadership, expertise technique, commmunication, rythme et structure ainsi que la collaboration avec d’autres artistes.
De la réalisation à la direction photo, en passant par le montage et la production, j’ai bâti au fil des ans un portfolio créatif et innovateur composé de documentaires, commerciaux pour la télévision, vidéo corporatives, ainsi que des vidéos de lobbying social et des courts métrages diffusés dans des festivals partout en Amérique du Nord et en Europe.
Plusieurs années plus tard, en communiquant une vision claire et une vue d’ensemble globale, j’ai en quelque sorte réalisé mon rêve de jeunesse, je dirige un ensemble de collaborateurs talentueux dans une symphonie visuelle créative.
Mon but, avec Listo Films, est de créer des vidéos d'architecture sociale aidant à tisser la toile de notre société avec des messages clairs et percutants.

When I was young I wanted to be an orchestra conductor.
That was my impetus for playing trombone for many years and then studying music at university. It was invaluable in learning the finesse of execution, the attentiveness of collaboration, rhythm, timing and discipline. But not finding the freedom of creativity sitting at the back of an orchestra, I turned to an old passion of mine: photography.
It was by assisting established advertising photographers that I refined the technical, artistic and business skills needed to launch and sustain my career as a successful international advertising photographer - my work being published in books, magazines, billboards, and on local, national and international campaigns.
It was from that vista, the high point of my photography career in 2002, where I saw the organic transition from photographer to filmmaker by the amalgamation of my technical and creative skills as a photographer, my background in musical training and my affinity for the broad scope. With a clear and grounded focus, I invested my resources and energies to undertake the multidisciplinary art of filmmaking. From cinematography and editing, to producing and directing, my broad skill base has led to the building up of a solid creative and professional portfolio consisting of television commercials, documentaries, corporate and music videos as well as some social lobbying videos and short films that have been shown in festivals all over North America and Europe.
It has been through channeling the skills and talents of multiple collaborators and communicating a clear vision that my dream of conducting has taken the form of, what I like to think of as, orchestrating visual symphonies.
My goal with Listo Films is to create social architecture videos that help shape the fabric of our society, while delivering a clear and impactful message.
